It worked out to be the perfect location for us. We updated our ETA many times and the hotel staff was flexible regarding late check in.- we picked up the keys at its sister hotel lobby acrossthe street. It was almost midnight when we arrived. We booked two rooms (last minute, when our flight landed) for 3 adults. Both rooms were very clean and comfy. We were so lucky to have these rooms were available. The hotel is a short drive to the secret lagoon in Fludir. There is a charging station and a gas/diesel station at the parking area. There are basically two restaurants just outside our hotel doors (one at the sister hotel restaurant across the street and one just outside our door). The surrounding is very beautiful, serene and peaceful. We love this place. The "guesthouse" is a little over 20 minute drive from Gullfoss (most spectacular waterfalls in Iceland in our humble opinion) and the Geysir center.

Monika did an excellent job! She is very friendly, helpful and I could feel her hospitality. After the first night there I wanted to extend my stay for another night and she arranged everything in just a few seconds at a fair price. I was very happy she took care of my requests. She leads her team in a very pleasant and friendly way in order to maximize their effectiveness and watching that is fun. 1st night in the hotel room with a huge tv (didn’t use it though) 2nd night in the guesthouse

Great spacious room. We got two rooms with one adult and one child in each and it was great after staying in several quadruple rooms during our trip. It was a nice change! Also was right by a grocery store and gas station so it was very convenient.

This was a fantastic stay, though we were upgraded to the property across the street (it seemed the old guesthouse was not really in use?). The room was quite spacious, the bed felt enormous, there was a giant window looking out into a garden area, our own patio, and entrance to the area including a hot tub out the bathroom. There was also actual shelf space above the sink. We were offered complimentary bathrobes. We also ate here and the food was good. The staff was very kind and helpful. Huge radiator for drying wet clothes and a separate one in the bathroom. Peacefully decorated. We were able to spot the northern lights right from the hot tub. The upgrade and thus value plays into my opinion but I loved this stay.

+ the best thing about staying here were the very kind and helpful staff at the Hill hotel (the adjacent hotel where we check in, have breakfast and there is a restaurant). + varied and tasty breakfast. + free parking. + quiet even with window open.

I did not stay at this property. I made a reservation there and on the day I was supposed to stay there, they had an accident and my Room was no longer available. They called me in Time so I could change my travel plans and they booked me and other Hotel that was a lot nicer with no extra cost for me. This showed me that they really take care of their Guests especially if something goes wrong. I will definitely use them in the Future.

Great location, close to everything a tourist needs. The room is huge, cozy and super clean, with a small kitchen and even a sofa. A breakfast is also included. A very fair price, compares to other places in this area. Although it's a very popular area, it didn't feel crowded, like you're in your own cabin and not a hotel.

The breakfast was really good, sort of buffet with plenty of local options and the restaurant was really nice with a nice view. The room was nice and very spacious but there were a lot of noises and no sound proof so we could hear our neighbors but apart from that, all was very good.

The view towards the river was incredible! Comfortable beds, spacious room and bathroom. Quiet location, which is exactly what we were hoping for to relax away from the city.
